Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@soulpilatesandmovement.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Reformer Pilates is performed on a specialist machine with adjustable spring resistance, straps, and a moving carriage.

Our approach is controlled and considered, focusing on alignment, strength, and mindful movement rather than speed. Expect small, intentional movements that build deep stability, improve posture, and leave you feeling strong and balanced.

20 South Frederick Street, Glasgow, G1 1HJ. On the first floor.

Behind the main door (which will be open), you’ll find a buzzer panel - please ring Studio 2/3 (if you're attending a Group Class) or Studio 1 (if you're attending a Private Session) and we’ll let you in!

Wear comfortable, fitted workout clothes that allow for movement. Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. Grip socks are recommended for safety and hygiene. Please bring them if you have them, otherwise you can purchase a pair in the studio.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cannot attend a class, please log into your account before the cancellation window to cancel your booking.

If you cannot attend a class, please log into your account before the cancellation window (24 hours before the class start time) to cancel your booking.

This will allow you to keep your class credit for a future session. You will be given the option to use your credit the following time you book a class.

Classes start at their scheduled time, and late entry is not permitted. Please arrive 5 minutes early to get settled.  Please ring the buzzer no earlier than 10 minutes before class starts, as another class may still be in session.

If the door is closed, class is in session - please do not knock or enter. Late arrivals and no-shows are non-refundable.

If a spot becomes available, you’ll be automatically added to the class up to 2 hours before the start time.

If you no longer wish to attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being added unexpectedly.

We strongly advise against attending group classes during pregnancy as much of the repertoire that we teach is generally not advisable for pregnant participants. Instead, we recommend 1:1 sessions tailored to your needs for a safer and more personalised experience.

To avoid disrupting cIasses in progress, our buzzer Is switched on 10 minutes before your scheduled class time.

Please don't ring the buzzer any earlier than 10 minutes before as the buzzer is loud and may disturb the class prior to yours.

The buzzer is turned off once the class begins. This is to maintain a calm environment for those already in the studio and ensures everyone takes part in the warm up at the start, which is key for Injury prevention.

You can easily cancel your class under the 'Upcoming for You' section, either through the Momence app, or on a browser. Just log back in using the email you booked the class with.

We recommend downloading the Momence App and singing in with the same email you used to book.

As long as you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, the session will be saved as a credit on to your account, allowing you to rebook at a later date and time that works for you.

You will be given the option to use your credit the following time you book a class.

The contrast therapy is designed as an extension of your class, it cannot be booked in isolation.

Until 31st of March, use of sauna and cold plunge is completely free after your class, just bring a towel and swimwear.

You're welcome to stay on and use the facilities after your session, as long as it isn't the last class of the afternoon or evening (please take a look at our booking system to check class times).

Studio 2, where all of our group classes take place is female-only, this is due to having just one shared changing space, shower and facilities.

We plan on introducing male-only classes in our original space, Studio 1. We're still in the process of gathering feedback, if there are certain days/times that work best, please drop us an email! We're hopeful to have something secured soon.

Our beginner Reformer classes are perfect if you're new, as most people will be starting out just like you. With a maximum of 6 people per class, you'll get plenty of individual attention and can ask questions throughout. We also have Mat classes which are stated as Mixed Level classes, but are beginner friendly.

If you'd like to explore more than just the Reformer, a Private Session might be a better fit. These are a little longer (55 minutes), gives you the chance to try other equipment (Cadillac, Chair, Barrel), and includes complimentary drinks. You'll also have complete flexibility to pause and chat with your instructor at any time.
